Alternate Reiki Hand Position #2
There is an alternate reiki hand position for the ears and this is to place the hands on top of the head with the fingers touching, but not overlapping. Palms are close to the tops of the ears. I will admit that my personal preference is for the ears, but then again, I do a lot of work on the phone in my day job as well as tend to be very sensitive to things said to me, so it feels good to clear the air, so to speak.
In doing this hand position, to me it almost feels like too much. The top of the head is known as the crown chakra, and this seems to be a bit too direct an applicatin of the reiki energy to me. Too much of a good thing. However, I can see that this position would have applications for headaches or even as a stress reducer. I’m very interested in what you think of this hand position and it’s applications.

This felt a little stifling to me. I felt like I was holding in the crown chakra (and it wanted to be free). However, I might feel different if I had a headache, although I don’t get them very often.

That’s kind of the way it felt like to me too, that I was holding my head in. I much prefer the ears.
